International Business Honor Society

I served as the Operations Manager for IBHS during Fall 2023 and Spring 2024. Through this position, I had the opportunity to create the presentations and reserve rooms for meetings in which we learned about International Business and the career opportunities that are available in the field. 

I have been serving as the IBHS President since Spring 2025. Running this organization has not only provided me with leadership experience but also helped me make connections on a global scale. I have learned so much about different cultures and the role they play in business across the globe.

As the Bandhwari Director, I was also responsible for planning our annual India trip. I attended this trip in both 2024 and 2025, which was a great opportunity to learn about a new culture and see the fruits of our labor firsthand. During our time in the Bandhwari Village, I had the time to meet the women and learn about their stories while simultaneously brainstorming ways to grow the project and increase its impact. 

I have been serving as the Director of the Bandhwari Women's Project, the social enterprise led by IBHS, since Fall 2024. The Bandhwari Women's Project is an effort to help the artisan women of Bandhwari, India gain financial independence by selling their handmade clothing and accessories in Miami. This position has provided me with the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in operating a business abroad. 

I planned the first annual Bandhwari Women's Project Fashion Show, which occurred in November 2024. After extensive planning for the several months leading up to the event, this fashion show hosted about 200 people and raised over $1,000 for the project. This event included a catered Indian meal for all attendees as a well as performances from professional Indian dancers, vendors, and a first look at the new line of Bandhwari clothes. 

WTDC is a logistics company based in Miami and one of IBHS's biggest sponsors. Through IBHS, I had the opportunity to learn about WTDC and become an intern. I now work there part-time, where I have strengthened my operations skills and learned more about international business in the real world.
